Vinaigrette


The avocado is a very Mexican product that is used in many preparations. You will find it in guacamoles , salsas , salads, garnishing dishes, etc. With all this range of applications that the avocado has, the Mexicans have developed one more and that is in vinaigrettes .

Everybody knows that the vinaigrettes serve to dress salads but this one is different because it could also be used to season shellfish. This is achieved
thanks to the balanced and very special flavor that the avocado vinaigrette has. Prepare it and get delighted with its flavor!



About the Recipe

  • Anyone can make this recipe.
  • The recipe is prepared with oil and the best oil that can be used is the avocado oil because it reinforces the avocado’s flavor. In case of not having it a good olive oil could also be used.
  • To make the vinaigrette sugar is used, we recommend using white sugar so it doesn’t change the vinaigrette’s beautiful color.

  • Yields 1 cup.


Ingredients

  • 1 Avocado (8.8 oz)
  • 1/2 Lime (.5 oz)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Sugar
  • 1 cup of Avocado Oil (8.4 fl oz)
  • 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar (2 fl oz)
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tablespoon of Salt

  • Cookware

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Lime Squeezer (optional)

  • Directions

    1. Scoop out the pulp of 1 avocado and put it in a blender.
    2. Also add in the blender:
    • The juice of 1/2 Lime.
    • 1/2 teaspoon of Sugar.
    • 1 cup of Avocado Oil.
    • 1/4 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar.
    • Pepper to taste.
    • 1/4 tablespoon of Salt.


    The lime is used so the avocado preserves for a longer time.


    1. Blend very well the ingredients.

    Suggestion: If you want you can add to the vinaigrette, as garnish , 1 finely chopped coriander sprig.


    Recommendation: You can also taste the avocado in the form of dip.
