Although the ingredients are so different... when these flavors and textures are fused in a salad, an indescribable flavor is obtained . The only thing that we can say is that you have to prepare it and try it to have this great experience.
– The cucumber and yogurt salad is a perfect accompaniment of a roasted fish. We also recommend it as first course of any meal.
About the Recipe
- For the beginners this salad is a very good start.
- The yogurt that is used in this salad must be natural and unsweetened. We recommend the Greek yogurt because it will give a fantastic creaminess to the dish.
- In the salad spearmint is used but mint could also be used. It doesn’t matter the herb that is used but preferably use it fresh.

Chop Ingredients- Finely chop 1 garlic clove and 1 spearmint sprig. Upon completion put these ingredients in a bowl and reserve.
- Peel 1 cucumber, cut it lengthwise and remove the seeds.
It is very important to remove the seeds of the cucumber if not your salad is going to soften. |
- Cut into half moons the cucumber with the one you worked, then set aside.
- Also add in the bowl, where the garlic and the spearmint are:
- 1 cup of Natural Yogurt.
- The juice of 1/2 Lime.
- Pepper to taste.
- 1/4 tablespoon of Salt.
- Mix very well the bowl ingredients with a mixing spatula.
- Add in the bowl the cucumber half moons that were cut.
- Mix very well the cucumber and yogurt salad with the mixing spatula.
- Put in the fridge the cucumber and yogurt salad and leave it resting for 10 minutes, so the flavors settle and mix.
